With fall officially in full swing, the weather is slowly starting to turn gloomy and the days are getting shorter, but fear not — because Gwyneth Paltrow has the perfect sartorial antidote to this year's seasonal blues.
On Wednesday, the actress-slash-entrepreneur celebrated the launch of her new skincare line at Target, good.clean.goop, at Goop's Santa Monica headquarters in Los Angeles. For the occasion, Paltrow proved the Barbiecore trend that was everywhere this summer is still very much in style while wearing a cozy hot pink crewneck sweater with a ribbed collar and cuffs and a matching midi skirt. She accessorized her dopamine-inducing outfit with strappy gold sandals and a smattering of silver rings on each hand.
Gwyneth's nails were painted a lighter shade of pink, while her blonde hair was worn down and straight with a middle part. She had on minimal makeup, adding just a soft pink lip to complement her glowing complexion.
Ahead of the launch of good.clean.goop, Gwyneth spoke with Bustle about the "jarring" realities of aging and her journey of self-acceptance. “I think that’s also why turning 40 was so jarring, because that’s when I started to notice crow’s feet and this and that,” she shared. “It’s so interesting to me how until you have that, you somehow think you’re never going to have that. You think you’re going to be impervious, and it seems like this whole thing that other people are needlessly worrying about.”
Gwyneth, who is now 51 years old, continued, “Then you’re like, ‘Oh, my God, my face.’ So it’s double-pronged for me. I am constantly in an exercise of embracing where I am and also embracing this painful thing of not being young and beautiful. Sometimes I almost think of a person that I’m hugging, like, ‘This is supposed to happen. This is OK.’”
